CEKOL

Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium USP/NF, EP, JP

CEKOL, sodium CMC, is a water soluble polymer derived from wood and cotton cellulose by introducing carboxymethyl groups on the cellulose backbone. The formed anionic cellulose molecule hydrates and dissolves readily in water. Cekol is one of the most versatile of all water soluble colloids and has the ability to form viscous solutions in both cold and warm water.
