CETOSTEARYL ALCOHOL, EMUSIFYING

 

Cetostearyl alcohol, emulsifying is available in two types Type A and Type B.

 

Lanette N PH EP, BP [Cetostearyl alcohol (Type A), emulsifying] is a mixture of Cetylstearyl alcohol and sodium cetylstearyl sulfate, an anionic self emulsifying base used in pharmaceutical emulsions.

 

Lanette 20 PH EP, BP [Cetostearyl alcohol (Type B), emulsifying] is a mixture of Cetylstearyl alcohol and sodium lauryl sulfate (90:10), an anionic self emulsifying base used in pharmaceutical emulsions and the C16/18 ratio of cetostearyl alcohol is  30:70.
