Medium Chain Triglycerides is a triglyceride based on saturated fatty acids C8 and C10. It is produced by esterification of fatty acids or fatty acid methyl esters with glycerol at high temperature. Being polar and spreadable, it is universally applied in pharmaceutical skin care preparations.
