POLYSORBATES Polysorbates are produced by esterification of sorbitan with fatty acid to yield a hexitan ester which is finally converted to polysorbates by using ethylene oxide at high temperatures. Polysorbate 20 PH USP/NF, EP is chemically sorbitan monolaurate, ethoxylated 20 EO or polyoxyethylene 20 sorbitan monolaurate. Polysorbate 60 PH USP/NF, EP, JPE is chemically sorbitan monostearate, ethoxylated 20 EO or polyoxyethylene 20 sorbitan monostearate. Polysorbate 80 PH USP/NF, EP is chemically sorbitan monooleate, ethoxylated 20 EO or polyoxyethylene 20 sorbitan monooleate. | Grade | Description
