Ferro Pfanstiehl’s ultra-pure, low-endotoxin sucrose grades are manufactured from highest purity cane sugar or beet sugar. These base sugars are generally obtained from non-genetically modified sources of sugar cane grass or sugar beet. Where commercial sources are not available, the carbohydrates are either isolated from botanical sources or are manufactured via fermentation. The ultra-pure, low-endotoxin sucrose grades are further purified through a combination of various techniques including chromatography, deionization, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, activated carbon treatment and dissolution / re-crystallization under cGMP conditions. The end product of high purity is thus suitable for the manufacture of regulated injectable formulation grade ingredients or for use in injectable formulations.
