KLEPTOSE ®

Betacyclodextrins & Derivatives USP/NF, EP, JPE, BP

Betacyclodextrins and its hydroxy-propyl derivatives (HPBCD) are cyclic oligosaccharides obtained from starch by enzymatic cyclisation using enzymes called cycloglycosyl transferases. Its non-polar cavity allows the formation of complexes with actives in the solvent or dry phase. Used as encapsulating agents and solubility enhancers for tablets, capsules, syrups solutions and oral suspensions. It is also used for taste masking of bitter or unpleasant active ingredients.

Kleptose DC
Granular grade
Direct compression
Micronised grade
Suitable for aerosols
Low water content grade
Inclusion in dry phase
Hydroxy Propyl Betacyclodextrin - Medium Molecular Substitution
Increases water solubility of poorly soluble drugs and also suitable for parenteral use.
