Hydroxypropylcellulose USP/NF, EP, JP

Klucel is a non-ionic cellulose ether with a versatile combination of properties. It is soluble in many polar organic solvents and in water below 38 degree C, but is insoluble in water above 45 degree C. It's solutions are highly surface-active, with low surface and interfacial tensions. In films and coatings, Klucel is heat-sealable and it is extremely flexible without plasticizers.
