LUTROL® F

Poloxamer USP/NF, EP

Lutrol F grades are non-ionic polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene copolymers. The polyoxyethylene segment is hydrophilic while the polyoxypropylene segment is hydrophobic. All of the poloxamers are chemically similar in composition, differing only in the relative amounts of propylene and ethylene oxides added during manufacture.

GRADE
DESCRIPTION
APPLICATION
Poloxamer 188 (Block polymer of 81 % PEG and 19 % PPG)

Used as emulsifier, solubilizer, suspension stabilizer, thickener in liquids, orals, topicals, parenterals and for enhancing bioavailability in solid preparations. Micronized grades avoids segregation of powder blends, gives a homogenous mixture of actives and excipients, which results in content uniformity concerns with tablets

New, micronised grade of F 68 with mean particle size of 50 microns
Lutrol F 127 Poloxamer 407 (Block polymer of 73 % PEG and 27 % PPG)
Lutrol Micro 127 New, micronised grade of F 127 with mean particle size of 50 microns
