MALIC ACID

Malic Acid is widely found in nature and is the predominant organic acid in many fruits and berries. It plays an essential role in carbohydrate metabolism and therefore in the production of basic energy for cellular processes. It is the precursor of Oxalacetic acid and crystallizes from aqueous solutions as white, translucent, anhydrous, non-hygroscopic and non-volatile crystals.
