Spheres (nonpareil seeds) USP/NF, EP Pharm-a-spheres
are inert / neutral pellets composed of sucrose and maize
starch. They offer an excellent quality, a narrow particle
size distribution within the requested size, high sphericity
allowing a precise calculation of drug quantity to be sprayed
and high mechanical stability. Pharm-a-spheres are a modern,
drug excipient with multiple applications and are well-suited
for solving problems like insufficient flow characteristics,
interaction of ingredients & retardation of drug action.
The whole spectrum of diameters from 100 µm to 2000
µm is covered. Special sizes and mixtures are also possible.
